Support AI—Protect Privacy
Restore Ownership of Personal Data in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence is one of the most promising technologies ever created. I strongly support the continued development of AI and believe it has the potential to improve education, medicine, science, business, creativity, and everyday life.
By giving up vital personal information, we gradually lose control over our own lives. As AI becomes more capable and more deeply integrated into society, individuals must retain ownership and authority over their own data. We should never be placed in a position where our personal information gives artificial intelligence companies lasting power over us. AI should remain a tool that serves humanity—not a system to which people are expected to surrender their privacy or autonomy.
I urge Congress and state legislatures to pass legislation establishing the following rights for every AI user:
1. Privacy by Default: All conversations, prompts, uploaded files, images, audio, and other user-provided information must be permanently deleted after use unless the user has explicitly chosen to retain that information.
2. Simple Permanent Deletion: Every AI company must provide a clear, easy-to-find, one-click method allowing users to permanently delete all of their personal data at any time inside the chat.
3. Complete Erasure: When a user requests deletion, all personal data must be removed from active systems, archived databases, backup systems, and any other storage within a legally defined period, except where retention is specifically required by law.
4. No Retention Without Consent: AI companies must not retain, reuse, or use personal data for AI training, profiling, marketing, or any other purpose unless the user has given explicit, informed, and voluntary consent.
5. Meaningful Accountability: Companies that fail to comply with these requirements must face substantial legal penalties, regulatory enforcement, and civil liability. Privacy rights are only meaningful if they are backed by enforceable law.
Artificial intelligence should work for people, not the other way around. People should be able to enjoy all the benefits of AI without sacrificing permanent control over their personal information.
This petition is not against AI. It is for responsible AI—AI that respects privacy, protects individual freedom, and recognizes that personal data belongs to the individual, not to the company that collects it.
As AI becomes increasingly powerful and integrated into every aspect of society, the law must guarantee every person the right to permanent deletion of their personal information and make that right simple to exercise. No one should be required to navigate complicated procedures or trust unverifiable promises that their information has been erased.
Support AI. Protect Privacy. Restore Ownership of Personal Data. Pass a law requiring AI companies to delete personal data by default, provide simple permanent deletion at any time, and hold violators legally accountable.

Life is perhaps
A hollow tomorrow of today
As today is for the day prior
Death is a decaying reminiscence
The lasting impression on life.
“Live as if you’ll die tomorrow.”
This advice I took to heart all along
Lived in the moment, precariously
Erratic in deed, whimsical thoughts
As capricious as I was
Every single day, I wondered
Which tomorrow I would die?
Stone Age
What are you?
Perhaps,
the distant memories of a rowdy child.
The goosebumps in the cold, dark cinema with a frosty Pepsi in hand.
Perhaps,
the garlic flavor of a bologna sandwich, the orange of a Fanta,
or the salty flavor of doogh*.
You’re the burning sensation, the sting of punishment
in the palms of my hands.
The painful strikes of the merciless flog
for my sloppy homework or being late to school.
You’re every word I misspelled when taking dictation.
You’re the sweet steam of baked beets on a street vendor’s cart.
You’re the stripes of the plastic balls I kicked as a child.
You’re as dark and gooey as melted tar,
stuck to the soles of my bare feet in the summer heat of Ahvaz.
You’re the brawls I had with friends on school breaks.
My sore throat, my doctor's excuse.
You are my ruthless teachers in third grade and fourth—
the slap in the face,
Social Engineering
Where Democracy and Tyranny Converge
Power is never simply a reflection of the people's will and aspiration. Rather, since power influences and shapes culture, it defines not only laws but also how people perceive them and conduct their daily lives. In essence, power operates through social engineering, a mechanism that influences society, maintains order, and ultimately perpetuates itself.
The relationship between society and power differs in democracies and tyrannies. Democracies provide institutional mechanisms such as elections, public discourse, and checks and balances that allow citizens to influence government and replace leaders peacefully. Tyrannies, by contrast, generally change through revolution or violence, often replacing one system of domination with another because the underlying social conditioning remains intact. Although coercion is more visible in tyrannies, democracies often exercise power more subtly, making its mechanisms of control less apparent.
Original Sin
Adam and Eve
On a calm starry night, Adam was sleeping on his back, loudly snoring. His annoying noise echoed through the cave and kept Eve from falling asleep. Every time she dozed off, Adam's obnoxious noises disturbed her serenity and interrupted her calm.
“Goddammit Adam. I’m so damn exhausted. Would you stop?”
“Hmm.” The man huffed.
She finally rolled over and gripped his nose shut 'til he couldn't breathe. Adam's chest violently shook; he trembled and jumped awake.

Satan Never Dies
Humans are not born equal; a clean slate is a myth. We differ in intelligence, aptitude, and physical traits, as well as in family wealth, social connections, and support systems. These differences shape not only our chances of success and social standing but also the trajectory of our lives. Yet, who we become is not determined by these factors alone; our upbringing continues to shape our character in profound ways.

The Most Stupid Race of All
A racially insensitive commentary
Disclaimer:
Although the title of this article is not politically correct, readers are advised not to fly off the handle just yet. I am not referring to any of the color-coded races—white, black, yellow, red, or striped. There is no scientific evidence suggesting that any of these groups are less intelligent than the others. On the contrary, there is compelling evidence that all human races are equally stupid.
Therefore, if you are a member of the human race, this is your opportunity to feel equally offended.
What’s to be Done!
The wind picked up, the waves got steeper and meaner, and the bow dug deeper into the churning water.
“Hell, why not. I can stay here a little bit longer. I’m not that far off the shore anyway,” the sole passenger of the dilapidated sheet-metal boat thought. “I can even swim to the shore if I have to, for crying out loud,” the thought flashed through his mind.

What is art?
Art is a sublime mode of communication, a spiritual bridge between its creator and its audience; the most intuitive and natural connection imaginable. Art is an embodiment not necessarily of what is but of the possibilities, of what can be. This mystic connection, however, unlike any other, is not a conscious one; it's at the subconscious level. The true beauty of an artistic creation is that neither the creator nor the audience is consciously aware of the veracity and nature of this relationship. What is Art

Essence of Life
Life is nothing but an incoherent poem
A murky dream inundated with enigma
A fragmented puzzle of countless bits
Crystals of darkness, elusive slivers of light
Bestowed upon us at birth
Not a choice of ours
We interrupt this dream,
An infinite number of times
In the haze of awakening
Desperately, we strive
To piece it together, and make sense of it all.
Alas
When we have it all figured out,
Suddenly, we realize
None of the pieces
Have fallen where they belonged
Then we despise our awakening
Wish we’d never entered this farce.

Vincent and Franz were my neighbors when I was young
Both lived in dark corner houses, the end

As I do every night, I took just a sip of water before going to bed. If I drink more, I wake up in the middle of the night for a trip to the bathroom, and the tormenting insomnia that follows is inevitable. I’ve learned through experience that water at night epitomizes shattered dreams and painful awakenings.
Then I tucked myself in, and just before closing my eyes, I glanced at the image of myself—victoriously parading my prized catch, dangling from the fishing line wrapped around my wrist, framed above my bed.
